Installation Guide
1. Fiber Optic Cable Preparation
For loop-through cables (unbroken cable): Mark the sheath cut point and strip approximately 180 cm, or as required by project specifications.
For cut-through cables (breaking cable): Peel and prepare a pair of cables to be spliced. Remove 120 cm of the outer sheath from the marked position, ensuring internal fibers remain intact.
2 . Cable Port Opening
Saw open the required cable entry and exit ports based on installation needs.
3 . Cable Cleaning and Preparation
Clean the cable thoroughly. Strip off the outer sheath, remove the filling compound, and cut the reinforcing core 75 mm from the sheath cut point.
Slide the heat shrink tube onto the cable as shown in the diagram.
4. Cable Fixation
Insert the prepared cable into the closure. Secure it with a hose clamp.
Insert the reinforcing core into the fixing hole and tighten the screw. Cut off any excess reinforcing member.
5. Fiber Routing and Splicing
Guide the stripped fiber into the splice tray. Secure it at the tray's entry point with ties.
Splice and connect the corresponding fibers, and place the splices in the splice slots to avoid loosening.
Neatly coil the remaining fibers in the tray and close the transparent splice cover.
6 .Special Note for Aerial Cable Entry
For aerial installations, use a throat clamp (hose clamp not required).
Pass the steel reinforcement through the central column, secure and tighten it, then route the fiber into the splice tray.
7. Heat Shrink Sealing
Wrap the cable joint and shrink tube area with aluminum foil.
Use a torch to heat the shrink tube until it fully seals the cable port, then allow it to cool naturally.
Note: When heating the oval port, isolate the heat shrink tube with a branch clip.
8 . Closure Cover Installation
Once all internal work is complete, place the sealing ring into the base groove.
Secure the closure cover with plastic clamps to complete the sealing process.
Wall Mount Installation
Attach the metal wall-mount bracket to the closure.
Fix the bracket to the wall using expansion bolts.
Pole Mount Installation
Use pole mounting hardware to secure the closure to the pole with metal hoops.
