4. Installation Procedure of FOSC
4.1 Open the Closure
Clean the locale and determine where to install the FOSC. Place the required fiber cables.
Check whether all main components and accessories are included in the package.
Open the closure:
Unscrew the fixing bolts and open the closure by lifting the unscrewed bolts. Do not completely unbolt to avoid loss.
(See Drawing 1)

Note: If weather conditions are poor, a tent must be used for waterproofing and dustproofing.
4.2 Determine Cable Length
38 mm: from seal fitting to cable pressboard.
1800 mm: stripped length for winding and splicing.
50 mm: reinforced core length for fixing.
4.3 Strip Protective Coat
Use the cutter and stripper to strip the protective coat starting from the temporary locating mark.
(See Drawing 2)

4.4 Polish
Polish the fiber sheath port over a length of 13 cm.
4.5 Install Sealing Tape
Wrap sealing tape 41 mm from cable entry. Do not stretch the tape. Final diameter should be 23–25 mm.
Cut tape diagonally using double bevel cuts.

(See Drawing 3)
4.6 Fix Reinforced Core and Cable
Remove port plugs, pressboard, and fixing nut.
Insert strengthening core into screw holes.
Fix cable onto L bracket with throat hoop.
Use wrench and screwdriver to tighten all components.
(See Drawings 4 & 5)

4.7 Reserve Fibers
Coil fibers counterclockwise into tray.
For ribbon or central tube type: do not add extras.
For hinged type: use cable ties appropriately (not too tight).
Route fibers through ribbon or loose tube to the connection plate; use central tube protector if applicable.
(See Drawing 6)

4.8 Fix Splice Tray & Splice Fibers
Fix tray with three screws. Use flap gate and tie tray body.
Coil fibers counterclockwise with at least one full circle. Cut excess fiber and splice.
(See Drawing 7)

4.9 Assemble Closure Housing
Insert plates into the bottom slot, adjust sealing ring, place cover.
Tighten bolts diagonally from center to sides.
After 10 minutes, re-tighten bolts. Complete packaging.
5. Testing
Install pressure testing valve and perform sealing test in the field.
