Product Description – Sliding Fiber Optic Patch Panel
The Spring Optical Sliding Fiber Optic Patch Panel (SP-ODF-RS Series) is a modularized high plus fiber management solution for fiber termination, splicing and patching in telecommunication, FTTH and data center applications.
Available in 1U, 2U, 3U or 4U size, various models of this sliding fiber optic patch panel accommodate up to 96 fibers units. All units are metal manufactured from cold-rolled steel or other alloys of aluminum treated with an electrostatic applied powder coatings, providing long range durability, corrosion resistance and thermal stability under demanding conditions.
Represents in total the required engineered plus easy to manage interface for the optical distribution plus cross connections which are to used all are full extent in compliance with the required IEC plus Telcordia international design standards.
Requisite & Important Design Features for Sliding Fiber Optic Patch Panel
Precision Metal Structure: Produced exclusively with premium cold-rolled steel and electrostatically powder coated for the anti-corrosive and long lasting service life to be achieved.
Hinged Front Access Door: A flip-type door with an elastic latch enables rapid and safe front side maintenance.
Smooth Sliding Tray System: The sliding pull-out type tray unit has side locks of stainless steel plus rear restraint belt to avoid structural over extension during movement and operation while in use.
Modular Fiber Management Components: Which includes splice tray plastic units, fiber directing modules and adapter panels easily removable and interchangeable are included.
Stackable Splice Tray Bracket: The trays are retained plus mounted on stepped bracket structure stacked by U-height providing the versatile plus flexible unit scalability required.
Improved Fiber Protection: The horn-shaped cable exits on either side reduce the flexural stress, and serve to protect the patch cords and pigtails potentially involved.
Universal Compatibility to Racks: Fit both 19" – and 21" ETSI/EIA racks, making it ideally suited for the telecommunications ODF cabinets, Data Centers and FTTH hubs.
Applications of the Sliding Patch Panel
This sliding patch panel has applications in respect of several network environments requiring efficient and high density optical connectivity, such as:
FTTH/FTTx distribution cabinets and local subscriber access networks
Central offices and Telecommunications switching centres
Data centres and server rooms with structured optical cabling
CATV installations and broadband access networks
Optical cross-connect points and terminations to active devices
The demands placed on these applications are for reliable fibre organization, uncomplicated maintainability, and mechanical protection - all these are provided in the SP-ODF-RS series.
